Could this be the Turning Point?

I really started focusing on living a life online at the beginning of March last month and although there is plenty of work to do things are starting to look up.

Today my Blog Commenting took a nice little turn when after negotiating through fiverr on Blog Commenting with an Indian web company I secured a £90/month contract for posting comments using their forum accounts.

How about a Cheque for ONE MILLION!!
A fair few hundred might seem quite a bit but an hour a day maximum should have that sorted, I'll keep you updated on that!

My Adsense account is already at Ten Times the amount for the whole of March which is great news.

The link building site has doubled it's income already and the sales of digital services on eBay has picked up slightly so all in all it is looking good!

I will post here how much I earned in total for this month later on. I have definitely doubled if not tripled the overall earnings for March already and I guess the idea is to keep on doubling!

The dream of £100 per day from the internet preferably on autopilot ;) is still there and with my review site up and running I'm going to start testing the waters with affiliate products!

There is if course the flip side that whenever I am making money I am currently putting it straight back into other projects and marketing but I guess you have to speculate to accumulate as the old saying goes.

Getting Paid to Write Articles

Upon discovering Fiverr and realising I don't have breasts to write your message on or the software that enables backlinks I chose to do the only thing I can do with no product...Writing.

I added a few gigs onto Fiverr where I would write articles for people or leave Comments in their blogs but for an equivalent of £2.80 for over half hours work it just was not worth it.

Although I still keep up with the blog commenting as it's relatively easier and good fun I decided to look elsewhere to see if I could get more coinage for my article writing.

I tried eBay but their rules on services where you don't send a physical product always seem to hit me hard so if you can get around that you're onto a winner. After fees etc you may get £50 a month from article writing on eBay.

So back to the obvious choice of creating my own website to tell the world about my article writing skills but then you have to Market it and do that dreaded SEO work to get noticed, it's so much hassle but worth it in the long run.

Forums are another good idea where some people look for others to write articles for them at a small cost, just name your price and wait for that contact.

Article writing can bring in a small but regular stream of income if you spend a few moments advertising your wares across the net at different portals, get a website with email address and work out your price per article and hey presto, you get paid for writing!

The Wordpress Hostgator Conundrum!

To be fair I have never used Wordpress and have never used a specific Hosting Company before.

All my sites are usually built on free servers like blogger or package sign ups like yola where hosting is included with a website builder and domain etc so pretty much attempting to do this from scratch was a Whole New World for me.

Why did I decide to do this? - because of all my research on the web lots of credible sources have stated that a self hosted blog or site is better than one on a sub domain hosted and owned by someone else.

I didn't agree, I was stubborn but I was turned by the affiliate rule. I have wanted to build a digital review website for a while now reviewing digital affiliate products but a lot of the services I use do not allow affiliate links.

So I signed up this morning on a baby account with Hostgator on a one months trial at $7.99. It is cheaper to sign up for longer but this is just a test.

The idea was to try and host a wordpress blog on the hosting account. So I started downloading templates and files and just got so damn confused with FTPs and HTTPs that I had to do some more research.

Luckily for me it turned out that Hostgator has a very easy function for installing Wordpress via the services section of the Cpanel under the Fantastico icon - look for the smiley face!

You simply click on New Installation, fill in the gaps, pick a domain from your list and hey Presto - your very own Wordpress admin login to a Wordpress blog hosted by your own doing!

You don't have to spend more to get a domain name through Hostgator. Just user that good old Godaddy account, register a Domain at the best price then change the Nameservers in your account to point at the Hostgator Nameservers.

It took me around half a day to work out, alright maybe a bit longer but now I can run my own blog using a domain registered with Godaddy pointing to a Hostgator Hosting panel which runs a Wordpress installation. It feels great to be able do this although I did bypass the whole file directory thing!

So today I created my own digital product review site at 2016ad dot com, made one good review for an affiliate product - tweaked with the design of the site and bought a link package off fiverr to link to the review.

Good day but quite tired now so going to lay in a nice warm bed and - sleep!

We've detected a problem with your cookie settings.

My response to the above comment from Google when attempting to Log in to My Gmail account for Blogger was not short of a few well-rounded expletives.  I was doing what I normally do when this appeared:

We've detected a problem with your cookie settings!

I panicked, I will admit that.  Google has maybe gotten too big too quick and I was worried about being removed from all my accounts for an undisclosed reason.

The first thing I did was follow the advice on the screen - It was Rubbish to be honest and did not work, I was getting more riled up....

I searched on Forums and Help sites but couldn't access Google sites because I was unable log in on any of it's products.  This got me worried.

The same issue was arising on Forums crowded by those who had felt the exact same problem hit them when trying to access a variety of products from Blogger to iGoogle.

It was not related to One Browser or One Operating System.  I instinctively thought that it must be a Virus and I still have questions today!

Google are very hard to contact which basically means that I had no way to contact them apart from leave a message on their group pages which won't be responded to for a while.

I was using Firefox at the time (Still am) and because most of the applications running on the Browser were linked with Google this meant that FireFox was pretty much dead to me.

So How did I Sort the Problem out?

I had to do what I didn't really want to do - Wipe my entire History from firefox, cookies to recents and more.

I didn't think even this would work so I shut down and restarted my Computer.  It worked.

So if you're using Firefox or IE or Chrome, god forbid, then simply:

1.  Wipe all recent History from your Browser including cookies, simply erasing the cookies and Cache does not work.

2.  For good measure, restart your computer then re-open your browser anew.

3.  Why not rant about in a blog just as I have done!

So it's all sorted now but with no response from Google to my question - the fear that it was a very clever virus, maybe Spyware, once again resurfaces in my mind.

How Many Blogs do you have?

Some say; How many Blogs Should you have? I say; as many as you feel comfortable with.

Blogging and writing on a regular basis should be enjoyable and if it starts to become a chore then your troubles may just be beginning.

At the date of writing I have 20 Blogs all with completely differing subject matters but all inextricably entwined by one thing - Me.

I have a lot to talk about and don't feel that my personal blog like the one you're reading right now is the best place for articles about Horror movies set in Space!

So I set aside my own niche blogs that I don't have to update as often as some others. And here is the thing......

Content really is King and to update one blog daily with fresh, new and original content can be hard but you do not have to update daily unless you are a person who uses the blog maybe as a journal or a log of certain events.

I have some blogs that only need a fresh article or short post once every 2-4 weeks sometimes because they are set up in such a way that makes them already full of the content the site requires. Then an article once every few weeks to keep it fresh and up to date.

Some disagree on the next point - but I also have at least two blogs that I don't have the need to ever update. I call these 'Complete Blogsites'.

For example if I were to create an online course then split it up into posts with a few extra details - it would be a complete blog. If I were to have a Blog offering Tips on a specific niche then maybe after a few posts it would be complete.

So for some blogs, I create the idea, design and build the content then round it off and Market it to get the traffic looking for specific niches.

I believe that a person should not focus on one blog alone and instead should spread their wings and keep on creating in Cyberspace. I found that having just the one Blog limited me to my readers who wanted a certain topic everyday.

By spreading yourself and the things you know around the Web then you have a greater chance of attracting unique visitors and even increasing your revenue opportunities.
